IPEdit from EVS is designed for editing close to air.

At IBC2008, EVS launched IPEdit, its new timeline editing solution for fast turnaround and real-time broadcasting environments. Based on the XT[2] server, IPEdit is fully integrated in the IPDirector suite, the integrated content management system from EVS. This new module features complete timeline editing performance with no rendering process required for playout.

IPEdit integrates all timeline editing key functions such as drag and drop, keyboard shortcuts, and video and audio transition effects, while offering the advantages of an online production process. IPEdit features also include four audio group tracks, multichannel access, voice-over and audio transition effects.
