GlobeCast is extending its service range in Asia with the upcoming launch of a playout and media management center at its regional headquarters in Singapore. Scheduled for October, the launch follows GlobeCast’s acquisition of Pacific Century Matrix in Hong Kong and is part of the company’s strategy to expand its geographic and commercial offering in Asia.
The new media management center will feature: edit suites; ingest stations with a QC service; tape library management service; highly redundant, expandable SAN architecture; and multiple DVB subtitle management.
GlobeCast Media Management, a product for playout and origination, will be the key service offering to broadcasters of all sizes from this new center. The launch in the region means that broadcasters in Asia will be able to focus on their content and programming and outsource both their channel management and delivery needs to GlobeCast. Coupled with connectivity to GlobeCast’s worldwide satellite and fiber distribution network and linked to 12 teleports and technical operations centers worldwide, the company also offers this one-stop solution from its facilities in London and Florida.
