GMTV updates news, video operations with end-to-end Avid workflow

GMTV’s system includes four Avid Unity ISIS systems with 64TB of storage.
UK broadcaster GMTV has invested in an end-to-end digital workflow from Avid Technology for its newsroom and video production operations. SGL FlashNet software integrates the Avid domain with a Sony PetaSite archive storage system, which will also be used for picture research and stock shots.
The workflow includes four Avid Unity ISIS systems with 64TB of storage as well as an iNEWS newsroom management system, an Interplay workflow engine and Interplay Assist clients, and more than 40 editing systems and ingests stations.
