Harris’ NEXIO SAN has gotten a 33 percent increase in storage capacity.
Harris has introduced a 33 percent increase in storage capacity to its range of NEXIO SAN storage arrays. This increase raises the total usable storage capacity to 96TB, while maintaining full redundancy at the connectivity layer.
The improvement is achieved using new 600GB drives, which allow customers to store up to 14,000 hours of MPEG-2 at 12Mb/s or 3600 hours of Sony XDCAM HD422 content in a single SAN. Harris also has increased the storage capacity of the NEXIO AMP integrated storage server, from 3.75TB to 10TB.
Harris products with this increased capacity integrate with Harris NewsForce server/editing solutions, NEXIO video servers, NXIQ nearline archive storage, ADC and D-Series automation and Invenio digital asset management systems, as well as third-party products.
