East Midlands Television (EMTV), a local station covering six counties in the central UK, is pursuing new delivery platforms ahead of the country’s shutoff of its analog terrestrial transmissions.

EMTV will launch through these new platforms in three phases — the first is delivered to a global and regional audience as part of the Narrowstep Internet broadcasting platform. In October 2008, EMTV will be added to BSkyB’s satellite network, and broadcast automation and content management based around iTX from OmniBus will be used for the satellite feed.
