Magna Systems builds newsroom studios for CNBC in Australia

The CNBC studio in Sydney will produce standalone content for audiences in Australia and New Zealand.
Magna Systems and Engineering has announced details of two newsroom studio projects it has underway for CNBC Asia Pacific. A new studio and news bureau are part of the network’s expansion into Australia. In order to expand effectively, CNBC chose to have more resources on the ground in Sydney, and to build and operate its own studios to produces standalone programming for Australia and New Zealand, with the CNBC Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore catering for the entire Asia Pacific market.
A temporary studio was built and installed on the floor above the space originally allocated for the permanent facility in less than a month, in order to stick to CNBC’s Oct. 2 on-air date.
The new permanent CNBC studio is a widescreen SD facility that feeds directly into CNBC Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore and its entire satellite network. The equipment supplied and installed by Magna Systems includes four Hitachi Z-3500W cameras with Telemetrics robotic heads plus a DV-30 grid camera, a FOR-A VPS 700 vision mixer, Telex talkback system and Chyron Micro-X CG coupled to Miranda Glue and Kaleido Multiviewer systems.
