Pebble Beach Systems has announced new developments to its Neptune automation system, including enhancements to nearline storage management, greater support for regional opt-outs, a fast preview feature for transitions and more comprehensive control of graphics devices.

The new ListSync redundancy option allows playlists on two independent device controllers to be mirrored automatically, and junction preview gives users a quick way to review a transition, or junction, between events in a transmission list.

Pebble Beach also now offers tighter integration with Orad’s Maestro on-air graphics systems. In partnership with Orad, Pebble Beach has developed a new interface based on XML standards that not only allows rich metadata to be sent to the graphics engine, but also provides preview and data-entry for the graphics in the automation client via embedded ActiveX control.
