QTV showed an expanding range of teleprompters at NAB2008, including its Starter Series range, aimed at emerging non-traditional broadcasters and productions. These entry-level prompters offer budget-conscious clients an attractive starting point in the QTV range. They are designed with the same hood, brackets and mounting plates as QTV’s Master and Professional ranges, so Starter clients have an easy and cost-effective upgrade path available to them in the future. The Starter prompters can be combined with QTV’s QStart software, a single-prompt, single-script software application for those who only require straightforward editing capabilities.

QTV also launched QStore, a new addition to the QSeries range. QStore is a cost-effective, HD-capable video storage, ingest and playout solution based on off-the-shelf PC hardware. Centralized storage provides shared access to media from the most popular software editing packages, and ingest/playout ports can be added as required to provide multiple audio/video inputs and outputs. Aimed at smaller broadcasters, QStore is a modular solution that can easily be combined with QSmart, QTV’s affordable newsroom solution, to create an entry-level solution.
