S4M implements real-time broadcast management system for CanWest MediaWorks

Canadian Broadcaster CanWest MediaWorks and S4M (Solutions for Media) have successfully concluded the largest phase of a major project to implement an integrated broadcast management solution. As of Aug. 27, 2007, all conventional stations for CanWest MediaWorks’ Global Television and E! Networks have gone live. The integrated solution has eliminated the need for three distinct and separate software systems with eight separate databases.
The system supports all daily operational business processes from program contracts, license management and program scheduling through proposal and airtime sales management, direct to inventory management, copy, logs, reconciliation, invoicing and seamless reporting to the CRTC regulators. The Canwest system is based upon the S4M products S4Rights, S4Schedule and S4AdSales.
