Sundance Digital has announced that Ascent Media Network Services recently purchased and implemented the company's Titan multichannel automation systems for the organization's Stamford, CT, and Burbank, CA, origination facilities. The two installations currently support transmission of several high-profile sports and entertainment channels with additional networks slated for the near future.

The Titan systems drive Omneon media network servers. Because Ascent Media's master control receives live and recorded programs, interstitials and playlists from numerous sources, the Sundance Digital configuration includes the Intelli-Sat recording management system to schedule, capture and record satellite programming. Playlists are executed and the signals fed to Ascent's earth stations for satellite uplink and distribution.
