Televisión de Galicia turns to Harris NEXIO AMP servers for digital transmission expansion
Dec 3, 2008 11:51 AM
Harris has installed seven NEXIO AMP advanced media platforms at Spanish broadcaster Televisión de Galicia (TVG) as part of an expansion project by TVG to extend its digital transmission capabilities and create a foundation for future growth. The media platforms were installed at the head office of TVG in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The servers will be used to support several on-air transmission channels and will be interfacing with an installed ADC automation system.
The Harris solution will allow TVG to expand its transmission area to 14 inputs and 28 play channels, allowing all media to be acquired and stored centrally to supply multiple channel services to multiple users. The installation also includes five Harris NEXIO AMP Logo channel-branding media application licenses that will be used to embed logos into programs while on-air.
