The new version 4.07 of the VECTORBOX playout system debuted at IBC2007 adds support for all major broadcast codecs on the market including: IMX30/50, MPEG-2 I-frame, MPEG-2 long GOP, DVCAM, DVCPRO25, DVCPRO50 and MJPEG. Supported file formats included QuickTime from Final Cut Pro, MXF, raw DV and AVI from Avid, Sony and others.

A further advance is the inclusion of direct IP output. This new feature is designed for a fast-growing client base of publishing houses that are looking to expand media output by simulcasting over IP as well as satellite and cable. IP output can be a compressed stream ready for broadcast or a series of files for broadcast from an external ISP; streaming server formats supported are Windows Media 9 and QuickTime.
