Digital Rapids has completed the sale and installation of its StreamZ encoding solution at Virgin Media Television. Operated by the new media/interactive department at Virgin Media's London facility, StreamZ has been integrated into the network with its media storage accessible from edit platforms, primarily encoding full programs to WMV for VOD service and MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 deliverables for mobile carriers.

Using StreamZ's integrated and automated FTP distribution, Virgin Media delivers this content to MobiTV and BSkyB, that manage content distribution for Orange TV and Vodafone Live, respectively.
