Wateen TV contracts Pebble Beach Systems for 15-channel project

Wateen TV in Pakistan has contracted Pebble Beach Systems to supply a Neptune automation system as part of a turnkey solution for a new 15-channel playout center.

Wateen TV is in the process of launching the 15-channel service based in a new facility in Lahore. It will include news, various popular thematic channels and an interactive music channel.

The solution chosen by Wateen integrates Pebble Beach Neptune automation, Omneon video servers and MediaGrid storage, Vizrt branding, never.no interactive solutions and a BTS traffic system. Pebble Beach Neptune will be used for ingest and playout. The project incorporates three TV studios, with each studio equipped with four cameras, two M/E vision mixers, a sound mixer and other associated studio equipment including studio lighting equipment.
