Russian broadcaster TRK5 has installed Zandar FusionPro+ MultiViewer technology at its St Petersburg facility. TRK5 uses the FusionPro+ to process video and audio signals for display on a 16-screen video wall in its sports news department; a second unit is used with a four-display video wall in a talk show studio. The latter setup is configured so that the four displays can be used to display a large single image.

TRK5 required a solution that would combine multiple inputs in all the commonly used formats such as HD, SDI, analogue video, DVI and RGBHV computer sources, as well as audio. Both display systems are managed from control rooms some 70m away from the signal sources, with signals being routed from the MultiViewers to the walls in RGB format. TRK5 is also using Zandar’s Dual Head capability, allowing the displays to be driven independently or configured as a single, virtual monitor wall.
