For several months ARTE, the French-German cultural channel, has been on air with SGT's products, managing its broadcast and media management. SGT carried out installation of its products along with IBM and MCI, integrators of the new system. The system uses an IBM SAN and two Seachange video servers for broadcast.
SGT Media Management and Transmission products, deployed across 400 workstations, control media workflow: traffic interfacing, ingest, identification and indexing, quality control and validation, low-resolution consultation, pre-editing, archiving, media search, automatic restoration and broadcast.
Media Manager provides ARTE with a multi-audio and multi-subtitle management. Media ingest is done separately for audio, video and subtitle components. The system then allows the addition of one or several pre-ingested audio and/or subtitles.
