Avid unveils new MediaStream 9000

Avid's Mediastream 9000 supports up to 48TB per chassis.

Avid Technology has unveiled the MediaStream 9000 HD and SD play-to-air-server. The MediaStream 9000 system offers improved playout performance via the Palladium Store 2000 storage array that offers scalable capacity of 3TB to 48 TB, and higher throughput with a bandwidth of 680Mb/s per array. Using a 2Gb Fibre Channel interface, the server is optimized for delivering superior HD playout performance.

The flexible architecture scales from a few channels to a network of MediaStream 9000 systems, which can play out 100 channels simultaneously.
