BSkyB will receive Pixel Power’s largest ever installation of SD/HD graphics solutions. The UK satellite broadcaster will implement a Clarity system on channels including Sky One, Sky Sports and Sky Movies. All of the Clarity systems for the channels will be integrated with PixelPromo for automated promo creation.
The company’s Clarity solutions include real-time 3-D software and hardware and support for Dolby E. BSkyB will undertake a staged rollout of the systems with the first going live with the new graphics systems in August. PixelPromo will be used for master control branding to save post-production resources. The customized software application imports data from traffic systems and real-time schedule information and builds live-to-air promo page sequences based on pre-defined templates.
