Digital Media has announced that Six News Now (SNN), a Sarasota, FL-based cable news station, has selected DaletPlus News Suite as its new digital news production and playout solution for its 24-hour news operation.

The DaletPlus News Suite solution integrates scripting and video editing tools with news automation, rundown management and playout control into a single, centrally administered package. The News Suite provides a tapeless workflow with log-on anywhere access and rights-management.

SNN source material is instantly viewable on journalists’ desktops, or remotely through secure Web access. Video and text content are converted to Web-ready formats and migrated to SNN’s Web servers.

At SNN, the Dalet system integrates Panasonic’s P2 cameras for content acquisition, Apple Final Cut Pro workstations for craft editing and controls ingest, with playout from two redundant Omneon Spectrum media servers.
