Omneon has announced that Egypt’s Dream TV is using an Omneon Spectrum media server system for playout of two channels. Dream 1 features videos targeted to younger viewing audiences — sports and variety programs — while Dream 2 produces cultural programs, contemporary videos, films featuring Arab and international actors, and Arabic drama series. The Omneon server system on which broadcast content resides is installed in leased facilities at Nilesat, which also serves as the transmission facility for both channels.
