Etere adds tape archive support

Etere’s new Tape Archive Manager will its customers to use tape robots for long-term storage of video files. Clips are pre-fetched from tape and recorded to the servers. Material can be viewed from a browser and scheduled by traffic.

Etere has added FTP file transfer from Sony’s E-VTR and XDCAM as an alternative to ingest from SDI video. The MOS Gateway now supports MOS 2.8 and integrates a complete search and browsing system.
