EVS has introduced XS, a four-channel video production server designed for studio applications. It is part of the new Silverline brand, developed for near-live and prerecorded studio productions.

The new XS server offers multiple SD and HD codec configurations with native support, such as IMX, Avid DNxHD and Apple ProRes 422, for easy media exchange with post-production systems. XS integrates with third-party tools, so files can easily be exchanged in any type of production workflow. Based on its powerful networking capabilities, XS makes recorded media instantly available across the production network for simultaneous preview, rough editing, archiving, playback or post production.

XS can easily be managed with EVS Insio and IPDirector; plus, XS can also be controlled by third-party tools, such as automation systems or linear hybrid editors.
