Front Porch Digital provides Poland's TVN with flexible storage management

Mar 6, 2007 10:50 AM

Front Porch Digital has announced that Poland's TVN is using DIVArchive and DIVAdirector to enable easy sharing and repurposing of video content among the broadcaster's growing number of channels. The Front Porch Digital Content Storage Management (CSM) and browse systems are tied into TVN's WHATS'On scheduling system from MediaGeniX NG to support fluid metadata sharing and to enable real-time database queries with immediate results.

The DIVArchive CSM system and DIVAdirector content management application currently support production activities for 11 TVN channels. The systems are linked to a 200TB Sun StorageTek SL8500 tape library, an EMC disk library featuring 10TB NAS and 16TB low-resolution media capacity, and Windows servers linked by a 4GB SAN network and robust LAN.
