Itfc, the London-based provider of content management services to broadcasters and content owners, has been contracted by Five to provide all its subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing. The contract was won on the back of a competitive tender and includes subtitling for its three channels: Five, Five USA and Fiver.
Five is required by regulator OFCOM to provide subtitling for 80 percent of its programs on its main channel and exceeded this target in the third quarter of 2009, with 82.8 percent.
