Marquis Broadcast will launch an upgrade to its Operal workflow design tool at NAB2006 with the launch of version 3.0.

This new software will feature workflow modeling and graphics-based process tools, enabling users to easily identify potential workflow bottlenecks. Operal will also support additional industry standard interfaces for seamless integration with business process management systems for use in larger broadcasting operations using forms-driven process monitoring.

Marquis will also demonstrate extended features for The Drain, its software utility that allows video sequences created on Avid editing systems to be transferred quickly and easily to a server for immediate playback.

The company also plans to announce support for Apple Final Cut Pro and Sony XPRI editing systems for its Medway media exchange software.
