MediaGeniX launches third-generation broadcast management system

MediaGeniX is launching the third generation of WHAT’SOn at IBC2007. WHATS’On is the multiuser software backbone that covers the whole process of schedule management for a station, from rough budgeting, press communication and scheduling, to broadcasting and more.

New to the latest release is the integration with the most current playout suites and support for new media distribution, enabling WHATS’On to manage and schedule the entire multimedia content landscape, from classic television and radio, to Internet, mobile, streaming, VOD and podcasts. Version 20 will help broadcasters launch new services faster than ever and put new channels on the air more easily.

A major development is financial control for broadcasters. WHATS’On makes it possible for them to securely predict and analyze the performance and budget of a future schedule. Moreover, an entirely new ROI module calculates the achieved ROI on numerous levels, such as channel, distributor, service or period.
