The new Miranda Xchannel playout server integrates with Pharos’ automation and media management.

At IBC2007, Miranda will be highlighting its new Xchannel HD/SD playout server with advanced graphics, which integrates tightly with the Pharos Mediator v3 media management and Playtime automation. Multiple Xchannel playout servers will be demonstrated under Pharos control at the show.

The system uses Xchannel playout servers for each channel, with program and graphics content fed from centralized storage using Mediator's transfer management and database. A single Pharos Playtime controller can control multiple Xchannels. The Xchannel channel-in-a-box system is available with single or dual HD/SD outputs in a robust 3RU frame, and provides up to 600 hours of local playout for program content, commercials and interstitials.
