NDR expands newsroom with Chyron HyperX and CAMIO

NDR, part of Germany’s ARD network, has purchased a number of Chyron graphics systems including 30 LEX graphics systems, three HyperX graphics systems with two channels plus clip player, and two CAMIO servers for news graphics management, expanding its deployment to a total of four CAMIO servers.

NDR’s CAMIO architecture is linked to a Dalet OpenMedia MOS Newsroom Computer System (NCS). This enables journalists and producers to create and edit template-based text and graphics for real-time playout on the Chyron graphics systems. CAMIO technology provides NDR with centralized asset management to allow integrated browsing, creation, editing and management of media assets. Assets can be uploaded to a single location, allowing access from multiple workstations and newsrooms.
