Pebble Beach has added global timers to simplify multichannel management across time zones.
Pebble Beach Systems will be exhibiting the latest developments to its automation products at NAB2009. The company will present the latest developments to its Neptune automation system, including “floating lists,” global timers and multiple time zone support.
The floating lists enhancement enables any channel to be played from any physical playlist, which is then automatically routed to the right output. The management of multichannel playout is further simplified by the addition of global timers, which provide valuable timing information across all channels. The recently added multiple time zone support allows users to work with either local or remote time zones.
Pebble Beach also has added enhancements to Anchor Media Manager. Improved rules-based media and workflow management enables broadcasters to combine large-scale, IT-based storage systems with broadcast-specific technologies.
