FOX News has selected Pebble Beach Neptune Lite automation to control the playout of its new HD/SD business channel, which went to air in October. It provides up-to-date financial information from its New York base to an estimated 30 million subscribers.
Pebble Beach won the contract in collaboration with IBM Global Business Services, who took overall responsibility for the project. The channel is played out from new studios equipped with Neptune Lite systems that are configured with full redundancy and interfaced via MOS to FOX’s iNews system.
Other equipment includes Omneon ingest and playout servers, IBM System Storage, IBM software and hardware, Ardendo digital asset management, Miranda Technologies master control and several Vizrt graphics engines.
