This module delivers the ability to sell TV commercial inventory using profile-based targeting across live broadcast, on-demand content and recorded programming. More importantly, it provides content and multichannel service providers with the ability to sell advertising based on set-top box segmentation capabilities instead of being limited to geographic and network-based demographics.
Using standard interfaces established by Cablelabs, IBMS:OnTarget interacts with ad servers and includes an ad decision service to support a-priori and just-in-time ad placement decisions that maximize inventory value across linear and on-demand services.
