Pixelmetrix launches compliance recording for IPTV

Pixelmetrix has just launched the DVStor-IP, a hard disk-based system that allows non-stop simultaneous recording of multiple channels of transmitted IP video.

The DVStor-IP allows broadcasters who are using IPTV to verify that a specific transmission actually happened at a given time. It can be used for legal compliance or for resolving disputes using the record of the transmission.

Specifying the source IP address and destination IP address of the transmitted video record the video. A continuous archive of recorded video is created on a first in, first out (FIFO) basis. Out-of-date material is removed to allow for fresh recordings. However, when necessary, selected segments can also be locked to prevent it from being removed or overwritten.

The recorded IP video can be subsequently played back to any remote machine with a video player.

DVStor-IP comes in both 1U and 4U configuration, with disk storage capacity ranging from 100GB to 2TB.
