VDS has provided American Forces Network (AFN) with eight channels of Promotor. The product provides extensive capabilities for the automatic playback of graphic and audio promos.
At AFN, real-time playlist information from the automation system is sent to Promotor via the VDS Sentinel interface. Graphics templates on each channel’s Harris IconStation channel-branding system can be filled with data that has been extracted from the playlist or retrieved from the Promotor database. Promotor can then trigger the IconStation systems for real-time insertion of promos and other graphics.
