Manchester, UK - October 22, 2012 - Blackmagic Design today announced a five city European Tour starting in Stockholm on October 25, 2012. Free to attend, users will have the opportunity to learn more about the latest Blackmagic Design solutions for film, broadcast, post production and live events, with exclusive presentations and content from leading industry professionals.
Acclaimed filmmaker James Tonkin will premiere A Night at Nine Elms, shot on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and graded with DaVinci Resolve. In addition, the tour, which include stops in Hamburg, London, Prague and Milan, offer insights into digital film making techniques including lens selection, the differences of RAW and compressed workflows, lighting and exposure, through to grading with DaVinci Resolve.
Further live demonstrations from Anton Nelson will show how to work with ProRes and the Blackmagic Cinema Camera’s file metadata in Final Cut Pro X. He’ll also demonstrate how the camera’s Thunderbolt connectivity can be used to create professional production workflows while Zeiss will offer practical guidance and demonstrations on how to use their range of cinematography lenses.
In addition, there is also an opportunity to learn how ATEM Production Switchers, Videohub Routers, Teranex Video Processors and further Blackmagic Design solutions are being used for broadcast and live events across Europe including the upcoming MTV European Music Awards.
