    Dalet and BeTomorrow Collaborate to Facilitate Second Screen Viewing

    Dalet Digital Media Systems, a leading developer of Media Asset Management (MAM) solutions, software and services for broadcasters, has collaborated with BeTomorrow, a digital agency and developer of sports apps, to produce a new app that streamlines live game and on-demand content production for second screen audiences. The companies started the collaboration by developing a second screen app that focuses on tennis, which will be featured at the Dalet booth (SL4524) at NAB 2013. The app can also be repurposed for other types of sports.

    SMPTE Launches Centennial Predict-the-Future Contest

    The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), the worldwide leader in motion-imaging standards and education for the communications, media, entertainment, and technology industries, today announced the launch of its Centennial Predict-the-Future Contest.     SMPTE, EBU, and VSF Form Joint Task Force on Networked Media

    The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), the worldwide leader in motion-imaging standards and education for the communications, media, entertainment, and technology industries, today announced the formation of the Joint Task Force on Networked Media (JT-NM) in collaboration with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Video Services Forum (VSF).
