Movie rental giant Blockbuster has selected content delivery network Limelight Networks and Microsoft Silverlight to provide for the technical streaming capabilities for the first studio-backed feature streamed in its entirety, “JACKASS 2.5.”
The movie is being distributed directly online by Paramount Pictures Digital Entertainment, MTV New Media group from MTV Networks and Blockbuster. Available for free online from Dec. 19-Dec. 31, the U.S. online distribution of the movie was made possible by the recent acquisition of Movielink by Blockbuster.
Streaming JACKASS 2.5 is open to anyone in the United States 17 years or older whether they are a BLOCKBUSTER member or not from www.blockbuster.jackassworld.com .
