Harris Corporation announced that venture capital firm The Gores Group (Los Angeles) has agreed to buy the Harris Communications division, makers or servers, routers, playout servers, and RF transmitters, as well as automation, traffic and billing software. Here Harris Morris, president of the new venture (and former president of the old one) discusses the sale and what it means for the future of the broadcast division that thousands of users in 140 countries have come to rely on.
