1 Beyond to introduce HD OctoFlex Rugged editor for ENG

The new rack-mountable HD OctoFlex Rugged meets the needs of TV stations working from ENG remotes with new tapeless HD camera formats
At NAB2008, digital video editing and compositing systems provider 1 Beyond will highlight its HD OctoFlex Rugged, a video editing system designed specifically for live electronic newsgathering (ENG) broadcast trucks converting to tapeless HD.
The new rack-mountable system meets the needs of TV stations working remotely with new tapeless HD camera formats, such as Infinity JPEG2000, DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD, P2, VariCam, XDCAM EX and AVC-Intra.
The system can also be configured for direct-to-disk capture and other on-location uses, such as film production trucks and military video units. With eight full core processors, the 1 Beyond HD OctoFlex Rugged is a fully featured system that allows for multiformat editing and compositing, from SD through HD.
