4INFO partners with YES Network for mobile sports scores

Subscribers who sign up for the YES Network's news feeds get access to RSS feeds displayed as text messages.

4INFO, a mobile search service, has partnered with northeastern regional sports network YES Network to make constantly updated sports news and scores available to mobile phones.

YES televises the New York Yankees and New Jersey Nets games, along with other professional and college sports. Fans of these and other teams can now get free real-time text alerts with the latest news and scores.

Subscribers who sign up for the YES Network's news feeds get access to RSS feeds displayed as text messages. Each time the feed is updated with the latest news and scores, 4INFO delivers a text message to alert subscribers. The message delivered can take the form of headlines or the actual news item. 4INFO's platform features the ability to designate content as searchable, create text alerts for updated news, offer menu-driven information and more.

Developers, content owners and individuals can integrate content with the platform using open standards such as RSS or XML feeds to avoid the cost and time required to build a proprietary mobile delivery platform.

Mobile users can sign up for news and score text alerts by accessing the YES Network Web site or by texting 4INFO (44636).
