Bitcentral has released Précis version 3.12, the latest version of the company’s nonproprietary news production system.
Précis v3.12 offers newsrooms a means to increase their productivity and upgrade to an HD-capable production system while they’re still SD. For those stations adopting Précis v3.12, the company will include its Oasis digital news archive capability on the HP servers used to run Précis at no additional charge.
Together, Précis and Oasis can manage the entire lifecycle of a story and transform a station into a multiplatform local content production and distribution company.
For stations purchasing Precis v3.12, Bitcentral will offer a free upgrade to Précis 4.0 when available.
