Citadel Broadcast Group stations in four Midwest cities have completed installation of Comprompter NewsKing news and automation systems.
The stations, WOI-TV in Des Moines, IA; KCAU-TV in Sioux City, IA;KLKN-TV in Lincoln, NE; and WHBF in Rock Island, IL; produce three to five hours of news per day.
The NewsKing system allows the stations to combine newsgathering and newscasting in a single system that provides the tools to organize and present a news show.
NewsKing includes script-based automation that lifts the production elements out of the script and generates the automation list determined by the order in which the scripts are stacked in the producer’s rundown.
