Israeli broadcaster transitions to tapeless production workflow
Nov 14, 2007 8:32 AM
Tel Aviv-based Israel Educational Television (IETV) has installed an entirely digital tapeless production workflow using Front Porch Digital’s DIVArchive content storage management system.
IETV broadcasts about 215 hours of documentaries, drama and other educational programming each week. It went on-air with the new production system in August 2007.
The new system delivers content storage management facilities to more than 100 producers, directors, editors, journalists and other IETV staff. The entire production workflow, from ingest to playout and archiving, is tapeless and integrates the station’s video servers, long-term storage and automation system. IETV also has begun to preserve its historic archive in digital form.
System integrator AVcom assisted IETV with the installation of the system.
