Lyon Video’s uses with a mix of Grass Valley WorldCam HD cameras and Ikegami HK-388 SD cameras.
Columbus, OH-based mobile production company Lyon Video recently ordered eight Fujinon HD field lenses. The new units include six XA87x9.3BERMs and two XA101x8.9BESM, all of which have digital image stabilization technology.
The Fujinon lenses are being used with a mix of Grass Valley LDK 6000 WorldCam mkII (1080i/720p switchable) HD cameras and Ikegami HK-388 SDTV cameras.
Lyon continues to choose Fujinon lenses in the HD era because of the image stabilization technology and because the lenses offer one of the longest telephoto capabilities and widest angles.
Lyon Video’s client list includes: ESPN HD/ESPN, ABC, Fox Sports Net regional sports cable network and FOX Sports. They also provide trucks directly to teams, including the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons, for their home and away games. Lyon Video’s mobile units have also covered NCAA College Football in HD; MLS games, Masters Golf Tournaments, ice-skating and kick boxing events, as well as “Antiques Roadshow” episodes produced by WGBH in Boston for PBS and PMTV.
