Streambox has released the Streambox SBT3-9100, a new generation HD video transport and HD newsgathering solution.
The SBT3-9100 is an end-to-end HD video transport system that provides full-motion, full-frame 1080i/720p HD broadcast video and audio over satellite and IP-based networks.
The system is built on Streambox’s ACT-L3 codec, which provides HD video quality at data rates ranging from 512Kb/s to 20Mb/s. Each system is outfitted with dual gigabit Ethernet ports, providing multiplex/demultiplex configurations for video-stream redundancy. The second Ethernet port can be designated as a management port for instant access from anywhere.
The SBT3-9100 can output both HD and downconverted SD video simultaneously from a single HD source. Store and forward capabilities facilitate enhanced management of HD video streams.
