May 23, 2007 11:00 AM
TeamCast’s new COFDM system for OEMs includes a DVB-T modulator and demodulator that are members of the ModulCast family (shown).
TeamCast introduced a new OEM system for establishing wireless ENG links at NAB2007.
The new solution uses enhanced multicarrier COFDM modulation and demodulation to offer robust end-to-end transmission, even when obstacles such as trees, bridges and high buildings sporadically block the transmission path.
Derived from existing TeamCast products and adhering to the DVB-T standard with 2000 carriers, the new solution introduces time interleaving and additional forward error correction (FEC) to provide error free reception even in adverse conditions, and without losing payload capacity.
The solution includes an enhanced DVB-T modulator and demodulator.
