WireCAD has introduced Patch Verx, a new software tool to assist engineers and systems designer in the creation of jack field layouts and designation strips from a large set of pre-existing templates.
Patch Verx, which can be used as a standalone tool or as a plug-in for WireCAD, also allows users to create their own templates using a wizard. Patch Verx provides the engineer with templates for many common patch bays, eliminating the need to start from scratch.
WireCAD also announced that WireCAD v5 would be released in April. WireCAD design tools provide engineers and systems designers with automated tools to produce accurate, detailed single-line drawings, rack layouts, cable labels, reverse engineering capabilities and other reports.
