Broadcast Pix receives Pick Hit award for Slate 5000

Broadcast Pix received a Pick Hit award last month at NAB2008 from Broadcast Engineering magazine for its new Slate 5000 HD/SD switcher.

The Slate 5000 is a live production system that integrates 2 M/E functionality. It allows a single operator to run all aspects of a sophisticated 2 M/E live HDTV production, including complex graphics, animations, clips and effects as well as control robotic cameras, audio mixers and video servers.

The Slate 5000 includes and integrates all of the functionality of an entire live production control room — switcher, CG, clips store, still store, multiview monitoring, aspect ratio and format conversion and video routing.
