International broadcast services company Gearhouse Broadcast has chosen Riedel Communications’ Artist Digital Matrix intercom system to update its portable production units and flyaway broadcast packages.

With offices in the UK, Australia and the United States, Gearhouse Broadcast provides broadcast sales and rental, project solutions, outside broadcast solutions and systems integration.

As a first step, Gearhouse Broadcast acquired two Artist 128 digital intercom matrix mainframes as well as 60 of Riedel’s Artist 1000 premium control panels, which will be used for the first time for the Australian Open in January 2008.
