At NAB2008, Harris showcased its complete Harris NewsForce HD/SD newsroom product family.

The end-to-end NewsForce HD/SD news workflow features transparency of HD/SD operations from ingest through production and editing to playout. Harris ADC-1000 playout automation was shown driving the Snell & Wilcox Kahuna production switcher using instructions from an AP ENPS rundown to queue, play and switch media elements from that list and advance them to air. The ADC-1000 delivered control across multiple Harris platforms, including the NEXIO AMPserver, Platinum router, CENTRIO multiviewer and G7 graphics system. The NewsForce demo also featured the Inscriber MOS newsroom graphics solution.

Harris also showed its range of new NewsForce editors, including the Velocity ESX on-SAN high-resolution editor; the Velocity XNG field editor; and the Velocity PRX low-res proxy editor. NewsForce also features full integration of Apple Final Cut Pro to provide editing directly onto the NEXIO SAN.
