UAE-based station among first in Middle East to go tapeless

I2 TV in Dubai Media City, UAE, has deployed a DaletPlus Media Library to drive its tapeless production and broadcast facility.
I2 TV is one of the first tapeless facilities to be implemented in the Middle East. The DaletPlus Media Library automatically references programs shot using Panasonic P2 cameras and edited with Apple Final Cut Pro NLE workstations. A low bit-rate proxy is generated and associated metadata tagged by media librarians. Programs and schedules are prepared using DaletPlus workstations and played out on an Omneon Spectrum Media Server.
